Midweek Mindfulness Oxford – Sitting Group

For those who have completed an 8-week MBSR or MBCT course, either with us or elsewhere, and wish to continue to meet with others to keep up and extend their practice, we host a weekly mindfulness sitting group on Thursday evenings between 6pm and 8pm.

The evening consists of half an hour of mindfulness practice guided by a mindfulness teacher. This could be a sitting meditation, a body scan, mindful movement or a loving-kindness practice. Whatever the practice people can sit in a chair, lie on a mat or sit on a stool or cushion. This is followed by a break with light refreshments, followed by forty minutes of silent practice at the end of the evening.

There is a suggested contribution of £5 each week towards the costs of running the evening. If you’d like to come to this group, please contact us using the form below.

The Midweek Sitting Group has been running for 4 years and an anniversary session will be held on 23 January 2014. Please come along and enjoy the meditation evening with cakes to celebrate its continuing popularity!
