Volunteering Opportunities at the Oxford Mindfulness Centre
The OMC are accepting applications from individuals who would like to be involved with our operations team on a voluntary basis. This team is responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of teaching and training in MBCT.
The Oxford Mindfulness Centre is a charity working to reduce suffering, promote resilience and realise human potential across the lifespan through mindfulness.
On a day-to-day basis we work to make evidence based mindfulness and mindfulness training accessible and to communicate the most up-to-date research in the field. We do this through our wide-ranging programme of courses, training and events and through our website, social media channels and regular newsletter.
We are currently seeking skilled and experienced volunteers to support our work in Oxford. Varying hours and roles are available, to be considered you will need to be able to commit to a minimum period of three months. Please register your interest here.
The following opportunities are currently available:
Our event volunteers assist with a range of tasks to ensure our courses, workshops and events run smoothly. This may include setting up and welcoming delegates, providing refreshments and providing support to teachers and speakers. Where appropriate, volunteers are welcome to attend the event they are working on free of charge.
Based in our offices at Kellogg College on Banbury Road our administration volunteers help work on a variety of tasks which may include task such as collating delegate packs for events, creating basic flyers or researching venue availability.
If you have WordPress experience you could become one of our volunteer web editors. Working closely with the OMC communications team our website volunteers help us to maintain and improve our website.
