Who am I?

I am HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist and MBCT teacher and have worked as a clinical psychologist in the NHS for many years. I have a strong interest in the emotional well-being of people living with physical health problems and I am passionate about providing integrated services which attend to both physical and mental health. I believe mindfulness based approaches have an important role to play but further research is essential to explore and understand this.

What do I do?

I currently work as a Specialist Clinical psychologist in the Department of Psychological Medicine, within Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. I work across a range of hospital-based service and part of my role involves developing, delivering and evaluating MBCT services for different patient groups. I have recently been involved in an exciting research project exploring the benefits of a mindfulness based intervention for irritable bowel syndrome.
