Oxford Mindfulness Centre projects include both academic research projects and initiatives aimed at promoting the benefits of Mindfulness in the wider population. Here are examples of current research projects:

The Mindlock Project The Mindlock Project is a scientific study funded by the University of Oslo to examine mechanisms underlying persistent risk for suicidal depressions.

Staying Well After Depression: A randomised trial This is a scientific study supported supported by a major           grant from the Wellcome Trust.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for Health Anxiety: A randomised trial This is a scientific study supported by a grant from the Canadian charity The Lupina Foundation

Mindful Childbirth and Parenting A pilot project introducing MBCP in the UK.

Mindfulness in Schools Project – The Oxford Mindfulness Centre is conducting a new initiative for mindfulness in schools by supporting this project.

Perinatal Moods Research – A set of DPhil studies looking at the associations between the ways that people attend to their experiences and how they experience their pregnancy.

Personality & Reactions to Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy – This is a study supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation. A controlled trial examining who benefits from mindfulness courses.
