Your gift will make a huge difference by bringing mindfulness to those who suffer from recurrent depression, exhaustion and burnout.
There are many ways to help, whether you wish to help people attend our mindfulness classes or support someone to gain the expertise to deliver classes, or enable the OMC to continue as an international centre for Mindfulness research.
Support Research and Development
The Oxford Mindfulness Centre has a strategic programme of research work. Our main focus is on Depression, Health Anxiety and Childbirth and Parenting. We would be pleased to speak to you about supporting work in these areas. We would welcome your support in any of these areas and to make a donation click here to donate online or call +44 (0)1865 613141.
Help a vulnerable person learn Mindfulness
In the UK, MBCT can sometimes be obtained through the NHS but there are many more people who are in desperate need of help and cannot afford to pay for it.
Support someone to train to teach MBCT
There is much more demand for MBCT than there are mindfulness teachers trained to teach it. The OMC trains health professionals and others from all over the world in MBCT and other mindfulness-based therapies. It costs each trainee approximately £5,000 to follow an internship training pathway and over £15,000 to follow the Master of Studies pathway. While some students are sponsored by health trusts etc., there are potentially high quality students who cannot consider training without financial aid. The OMC provides financial assistance through a Bursary Fund to train Mindfulness teachers.
There are so many ways you can support the OMC and we can tailor one to meet your needs. If you would like to speak to someone about supporting our work please telephone +44 (0)1865 613141.
