Who am I?

Until 2009, I was an IT executive managing services and delivery of large projects around Europe. However, the stress of the role led me to MBCT and I discovered for myself the huge benefits of mindfulness to transform my life both personally and professionally.

After training to teach MBSR and MBCT in 2013, I have been delivering mindfulness training in a variety of settings ever since – working with members of the public, schools, local charities, corporations and government departments. I was a Visiting Tutor at Cranfield University School of Management in the UK where I co-developed and taught the Mindfulness for Higher Performance programme to senior executives from around the world. I also supported my local community in Bedford, UK with a free weekly mindfulness group that had over 300 members.

What do I do?

After being resident in Portugal for five years, I now spend my time divided between Portugal and the UK. I offer MBCT Training Programmes to UK, Portuguese and International participants in group settings and as 1 to 1 programmes both in-person and online. I also offer Supervision and Mentoring. I have a particular interest in making Mindfulness available to people from all walks of life and in my own time, I have been supporting a local school teachers’ community in the Algarve by running mindfulness courses through the regional teacher training Centre.I also host monthly 5h practice days as online retreat days, normally being the first weekend of the month.

Together with Marion Furr, I established the Algarve Centre for Mindfulness to offer MBCT, MBCT for Life and Finding Peace curricula to local and visiting populations in the Algarve and across Portugal. We taught at our own centre and in schools, universities and organisations.

From 2022 I have also offered the new course, Frame by Frame, for the experienced practitioner who wants to explore the deeper meaning of mindfulness.
