Alison Evans

I’m a teacher, trainer, and supervisor of Mindfulness-Based Approaches. I began teaching in 2004, and have taught a variety of programmes since then, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Mindfulness for life (MBCT-L) and Mindfulness-based Compassionate Living (MBCL). I have an MSc in MBCT and a Doctorate in Clinical Research (my dissertation was about mindfulness-based supervision), from Exeter University.

I’m passionate about mindfulness-based supervision, developing and facilitating supervision training through The Mindfulness Network. I supervise new and experience teachers and supervisors. As Supervision Lead with the Mindfulness Network, I work with Sharon Hadley and Claire Kelly around our partnership to provide mindfulness-based supervision for Oxford Mindfulness trainees.

My own mindfulness practice started in 2004. Mindfulness practice is at the heart of my life and work, and I love supporting others in developing their practice. I have been facilitating retreats since 2018. This interest led me to undertake a 3-year dharma teacher training programme with the Bodhi College, from which I graduated in 2022, under the mentorship of Christina Feldman and Jenny Wilks.

I lead retreats with a range of organisations including Oxford Mindfulness, the master’s programme at Oxford and The Mindfulness Network. I am a Mindfulness-Based Supervisor and train others to supervise. I work with Oxford Mindfulness to provide supervision to their trainees through The Mindfulness Network. I am a trainer with The Mindfulness Network/Bangor University.

“Mindfulness practice is at the heart of my life and work, and I love supporting others in developing their practice. It is a privilege to engage in this work with OMF“
