Annual Research Update for Mindfulness Teachers

If you’re interested in the research behind mindfulness and MBCT, we’re delighted to invite you to join us for this inspiring and informative session by Professor Ruth Baer, Oxford Mindfulness Teacher and Trainer and Director of the Master of Studies in MBCT at the University of Oxford

About the event

In this 3-hour session, specifically for trained mindfulness teachers, Ruth will present a curated collection of key mindfulness research including an exploration of current themes, sharing her invaluable insights along the way.

The workshop will include the opportunity for you to engage with each other in breakout sessions and explore how these research findings may inform our teaching and practice. There’ll also be time to share breakout room discussions and a Q&A session with Ruth.

This workshop supports you to meet the British-Association of Mindfulness-based Approaches (BAMBA) Good Practice Guidelines for Teaching Mindfulness-based Programmes including:

  • Connection with other mindfulness teachers to share experiences and learn collaboratively
  • A commitment to continuous professional development as a teacher through further training

Please note: This event is included as part of the new Oxford Mindfulness Members’ Programme. Non–members are welcome to join the event at the relevant fee band.

Mindfulness practitioners may be interested to note there will be a Research Update from Ruth especially for mindfulness practitioners – details to be announced soon.

This session is open to all mindfulness teachers looking to understand the evidence base or who are simply curious about the latest research. The workshop has been crafted to enhance your understanding of the evidence that underpins the courses that we teach.
