I’m a psychotherapist, with a master’s in clinical social work who works in a Community Health Centre located at downtown Toronto, Canada. I’m a certified Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy teacher, trained by Zindel Siegel at The Centre for Mindfulness Studies in Toronto. I’m also a Yoga practitioner and have been a yoga teacher for many years.
I feel a strong commitment with my daily personal mindfulness practice as it has been described as the core aspect to be able to teach it to others.
I work as a psychotherapist to support people struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues and the aftermath of traumatic experiences. I also teach Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and other mindfulness approaches individually and in groups. Particularly I have been teaching MBCT to disadvantage populations, contributing to increase accessibility to mindfulness. My practice is done in English and Spanish. I have been involved in the last three years with the Mindfulness Centre of the University Albert Einstein, in Mexico, collaborating with future projects for the expansion of Mindfulness for Latin American individuals and professionals.
“I’m delighted to be part of this community and I celebrate OMF’s mission of reducing suffering, promoting resilience and realising human potential across lifespan through mindfulness.“
