I’m on Occupational Therapist by training and have worked in various mental health settings within the NHS for many years. Since being a teenager I’ve developed a meditation practice from within the contemplative tradition. I was first introduced to Mindfulness in 2010 and was privileged to be trained as an MBCT teacher by Prof Mark Williams and Dr Paul Bernard in 2011. It’s been a joy to integrate my personal and professional interests.
I’m the Manager of a growing Mindfulness Team in a large NHS Mental Health Trust in the North East of England. We provide programmes of MBCT-D for service-users and carers as well as MBCT-L for staff within our Trust and in neighbouring NHS and Social Care organisations. I teach MBCT-D, MBCT-L and the Mindfulness Taking it Further course. I’m involved in MBCT teacher training locally and nationally and offer mindful supervision. It’s a delight to be a trainer as part of the Oxford Mindfulness team.
“Oxford Mindfulness is a wonderful international community full of inspirational people all working to ease the suffering in this world, bring hope and enable human flourishing. It is a joy and a privilege to play a small part in this as a teaching partner and trainer.“
