About me

I am an education professional, a trained Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) teacher, and a certified Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness practitioner from Vietnam. My experiences range from education, humanitarian Mine Action, and Agent Orange issues to mindfulness implementation in Vietnamese education settings. In 2020, while taking a Master in Education program in Ireland, I faced a serious health crisis during the lockdown of COVID-19. Thanks to mindfulness skills cultivated over time, I could maintain the emotional stability and mental clarity amidst such challenging time to complete the study. This experience gave me insights into how mindfulness can support us in the times we need most and clearly reveals some of the areas that I can continue to develop through professional training. I found the MBCT Teacher Training program at Oxford Mindfulness Foundation resonant with my development needs. Fulfilling this rigorous training pathway, I became the first certified MBCT teacher from Vietnam. In step with this, I founded the Applied Mindfulness Vietnam (AMV) as one way to increase the accessibility for my family and community. To me, engaging in this work is a direct expression of love and courage for what I deeply value in life.
