I am a Senior Counsellor and Senior Mindfulness Trainer at a Social Service Centre in Singapore. Holding a Master’s in Social Science (Psychotherapy & Counselling) from Edith Cowan University, and have over 10 years of experience in counselling. My mindfulness journey began in 2015, and since then, I have attended several Mindfulness Courses, including MBCT, MBSR, and MBCT-L. I have integrated Mindfulness-Based Interventions into my therapeutic practice, particularly for clients dealing with depression and anxiety. Witnessing the positive impact of mindfulness on my clients’ recovery inspired me to begin teaching mindfulness in 2018. I completed the Oxford Mindfulness Centre’s Bilingual Teacher Training Course for MBCT-L and later obtained the MBCT Trained Teacher Certification, as well as the Certificate of Competence to teach MBCT. Fluent in both English and Mandarin, I am able to offer MBCT to Singapore’s Chinese-speaking population, who often face limited opportunities to access mindfulness resources.
