University of Oxford

As part of our ongoing relationship with the University of Oxford we work with the University of Oxford Mindfulness Research Centre. Our collaboration is focused on three key areas; communication, research and curricula development.

Our key collaborators are Professors Willem Kuyken and Ruth Baer.

Professor Willem Kuyken is a researcher, teacher and author. He’s the Ritblat Professor of Mindfulness and Psychological Science at the University of Oxford, where he’s pioneered cognitive and mindfulness-based therapies to treat and prevent depression.

Willem’s ‘Mindfulness for Life’ approach, which draws on ancient wisdom and modern psychology, is a key strand in the DNA of the work at Oxford Mindfulness.

Professor Ruth Baer is a Mindfulness Researcher, Teacher and Trainer. She’s published work in the mindfulness field on assessment and conceptualisation, outcomes of mindfulness-based interventions, mechanisms of change, and professional training and ethics.

Ruth’s contributes to joint curricula development and brings a particular expertise in research and ethics.
