‘Mindfulness for Life’, also known as ‘MBCT-Life’, is a skills-based course, offering a wonderful blend of mindfulness practices and cognitive behavioural techniques within a supportive group setting. I began my own formal mindfulness journey in 2016 and soon appreciated its benefits to my own day-to-day life and well-being. I went on to train to teach the ‘MBCT-Life’ course with the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation, whilst developing my own practice. I achieved the Oxford Mindfulness ‘Trained Teacher Certificate’ in 2024 and am a registered member of the Oxford Mindfulness teacher’s community, adhering to their ’Good Practice Guidelines’ and ‘Guiding Ethical Principles’. I am also a Chartered Counselling Psychologist working in mental health within the NHS for the past 20 years. Whilst ‘Mindfulness for Life’ is not therapy, I hope that my professional skills and experience help create a safe and supportive environment for individuals in the group.
