About the course

As mindfulness teaching continues to evolve, one-to-one delivery is becoming an increasingly important and responsive way to support individual learners.

This session invites you to explore how one-to-one mindfulness teaching can offer deeply personalised, flexible and tailored learning experiences that meet people exactly where they are. We’ll explore how teaching can be shaped around the individual while staying grounded in the core principles that underpin mindfulness-based approaches.

Claire Kelly will share Oxford Mindfulness’s current thinking and emerging practice in this area, including different ways one-to-one work can be offered, practical curriculum pathways, and insights from ongoing research.

Together, we’ll reflect on when this approach can be most effective, alongside the considerations that support safe, ethical and impactful teaching.

By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of how one-to-one mindfulness teaching could fit within your own offerings, and how you might begin to explore this approach with confidence.

What to expect on this course

This live online session offers both structured teaching input and shared inquiry with fellow mindfulness teachers:

  • Focused teaching from Claire (30 minutes)
  • Small group discussions to reflect and develop questions together
  • A facilitated whole-group conversation to deepen learning

You’ll be joining a collaborative learning space where you can explore both the opportunities and challenges of one-to-one mindfulness teaching.

What you can do after this course

By the end of the session, you’ll have:

  • A clearer understanding of one-to-one mindfulness teaching as a distinct and valuable area of practice
  • Insight into different formats, adaptations and curriculum pathways
  • Awareness of current research and emerging evidence in mindfulness teaching
  • Greater clarity about when one-to-one work may be appropriate and when it may not
