About me

Antonis Raftopoulos is a psychologist and systemic psychotherapist with extensive clinical experience in the fields of addiction, eating disorders, and psychosocial challenges. Over the course of his career, he has served as director of therapeutic rehabilitation programs and currently acts as the scientific lead of a specialized day center for eating disorders. His clinical work is deeply informed by mindfulness-based approaches, both as a therapist and as an educator. He is formally trained and certified in multiple evidence-based mindfulness programs, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT, MBCT-L), Finding Peace in a Frantic World and Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT). Holding two Master’s degrees—one in Clinical Psychology of Addictions and Psychosocial Problems and another in Social Psychiatry—he combines rigorous academic grounding with practical therapeutic expertise. Through his teaching, clinical work, and program leadership, he has contributed to the dissemination of mindfulness as a transformative, evidence-based path toward resilience and well-being, with a particular focus on populations facing complex psychological and behavioural difficulties. His ongoing commitment is to help people reconnect with presence, choice, and compassion in their daily lives.
