Carla is the founder and director of Ser Integral: Portuguese Center for Mindfulness in Portugal partner of OMF in Portugal. She is Clinical and Health Psychologist and holds a PHD in Psychology with specialization in Transpersonal Psychology having focused on the application of Mindfulness Based Programs in clinical and non clinical groups. She also holds a training in Clinical Neuropsychology having worked as a researcher at Oxford University for a few years with Alzheimer patients and the elderly population. Certified MBSR teacher having completed the training at the Center for Mindfulness Medicine, HealthCare and Society at the University of Massachusetts in 2007 and Certified MBCT teacher through the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation. She also completed trainings in Mindfulness Based Approaches for Children and Adolescents at Mindful Schools & Still Quiet Place, as well as Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP). She has completed other trainings including Inquiry in Mindfulness Based Programs with Saki Santorelli, Supervision Training at Mindfulness Network and MBI-TAC at the Center for Mindfulness, Brown University.
