About me

Professionally, I have been a clinical psychologist working in a public hospital in Hong Kong since 1997. I became a certified cognitive therapist of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy in 2007. I have further my studies and attained the degree of Doctor of Psychology from the University of Hong Kong in 2011. My dissertation was a study related to depression. I have been the Honorary Clinical Supervisor in the Department of Psychology of both the University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong since 1999. I have also become one of the Accredited Clinical Supervisors of the Hong Kong Institute of Clinical Psychologists in January 2025. My mindfulness journey started in 2004 when I first joined the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course. I have practiced meditation regularly since 2010. I completed the one-year Foundation Course for Teaching Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) in 2015. Then I have run the MBCT groups at a psychiatric outpatient clinic regularly since 2015. I attained the Certificate of Competence to teach MBCT in 2025. I have completed the Mindfulness Supervision Level 1 Training in 2024. I hope more patients can benefit from MBCT and look forward to share my teaching experience with those who are new in the teaching path of MBCT.
