I’m an Uruguayan psychologist and researcher living in Barcelona with my husband and my daughter.
I work at the Institute Mar of Medical Research, one of the largest public hospitals in Barcelona. I manage research projects aiming to find innovative treatment approaches for severe mental disorders, including major depressive disorder and suicide.
I’m also a mindfulness teacher, trainer, and supervisor. In 2018 I founded MBCT Uruguay, intending to disseminate MBCT in Uruguay and other Latin American countries.
Since 2019, I’ve been actively involved with Oxford Mindfulness in developing and implementing MBCT teacher training in Spanish. I’m committed to supporting Oxford Mindfulness in expanding and disseminating the positive outcomes of mindfulness-based approaches, specially in those Spanish-speaking countries in which the access to evidence-based interventions is yet limited.
