Christine Ramsey-Wade

Christine is an Associate Professor of Counselling Psychology and a chartered and registered counselling psychologist. She has had a personal meditation practice for many years, has undergone mindfulness teacher training with Bangor University and is a registered BAMBA MBSR and MBCT teacher.

Christine teaches mindfulness and mindful eating skills to clients in mental health settings and teaches mindfulness theory and practice to postgraduates at UWE Bristol. She has also completed the Mindful Eating-Conscious Living Level 1 and Level 2 Training with Jan Chozen Bays, MD and Char Wilkins, MSW, and has received certified Mindful Eating-Conscious Living teacher status from the University of California San Diego.

Christine acts as a co-director of the Bristol Health Partners Eating Disorders Health Integration Team, where she works closely with people with lived experience of eating disorders as well as academics, clinicians, commissioners and third sector colleagues to develop strong collaborative links within and beyond academia. She is also proud to be part of the management group for the world-leading Centre for Appearance Research at the University of the West of England.

Christine is supporting Oxford Mindfulness to explore how mindfulness can improve our relationship with food, supporting us all to be more at ease and to reclaim a joyful relationship with food and eating.
