Fundraising event

The Mindful Mile, Singapore

In May 2026, we are hosting our second Mindful Mile fundraising event to support our mission to increase access to mindfulness training, helping people cultivate greater well-being and care for their mental health.

Join Oxford Mindfulness trained teachers Dr Khai Imm Sng and Cheng Ming Hui in Singapore on Sunday, 17 May 2026, as they walk one mile, 1.6 kilometres, to raise funds for our charity.

We will meet at 7.45am at the Botanical Gardens (Bukit Timah Visitor Services Counter), and begin walking at 8.00am. You are warmly invited to join this fundraiser and walk one mile together, at an easy pace, with simple mindful attention. You might notice the physical sensations of walking, or take in the sights and sounds around you as the morning unfolds.

About this fundraiser

In May 2026, we’re walking our second ‘Mindful Mile’ fundraising event to support our mission to increase access to mindfulness training, helping people achieve greater well-being and improved mental health.

Join our collaborators from the Mindful Circle, Dr Khai Imm Sng and Cheng Ming Hui, in Singapore on Sunday 17 May 2026 to help raise funds for our charity.

We will meet at 7.45am at the Botanical Gardens (Bukit Timah Visitor Services Counter), and begin walking at 8.00am. You’re invited to walk 1 mile together mindfully, perhaps paying attention to the physical sensations as you walk or taking in the sights and sounds around.

We hope you’ll support us by joining the event and help make it an annual occasion where we can come together, practise mindful walking and support positive mental health and well-being.

Please note, there is a £10 registration fee which will be put towards the total fundraising efforts for the walk.

Once you’re registered, remember to share the news with your friends, family and community and ask them to support you by donating to the event!

Mindful walking in the media

We were delighted to see mindful walking being highlighted in the Guardian.

The article, “How to walk your way to better health: five simple tips to supercharge your stroll and transform your wellbeing” notes:

“Research has shown that people who regularly practised mindful walking for a month saw reductions in their stress levels, as well as improved mood and overall mental health.”

The piece references a study ‘Mindful walking in psychologically distressed individuals: a randomized controlled trial’ that concludes ‘Patients participating in a mindful walking program showed reduced psychological stress symptoms and improved quality of life compared to no study intervention.’

Would you like to arrange a Mindful Mile in your area?

Our hope is that the Mindful Mile will become an annual event in locations across the globe, with all who participate walking the first mile mindfully. Whether you’re planning a single mindful mile or more, would like to walk alone or invite a community to walk with you, we’d love for you to get involved!
