We are looking to appoint a new trustee with strong experience in public communications, media relations or strategic PR.
As we continue to grow and widen access to research based mindfulness, this role will help us strengthen our voice, deepen our public presence and communicate our work with clarity and impact.
We are seeking an individual who can:
• Bring senior experience in communications, media or public relations
• Help shape our messaging and external visibility
• Support strategic storytelling about our work and charitable purpose
• Contribute to governance and organisational development
• Hold a strong commitment to our mission and values

The new trustee will join us as we enter into 2026 with new training pathways, international partnerships, and growing global interest in mindfulness, clear communication and effective public engagement have never been more important. This appointment will help us share our work more widely and ensure the benefits of mindfulness can reach more people in meaningful ways.
Applications are warmly welcomed from candidates who hold the above skills and experience and have capacity to support the wider board and leadership team at Oxford Mindfulness. The wider board meet four times a year on-line.
Outside of board meetings, each trustee holds a role supporting the charity with their particular area of expertise, this can include meetings with the CEO and other team members to offer advice and guidance. For this role, we are ideally looking for a UK-based trustee to enable occasional in-person meetings and for someone who is available to attend monthly online meetings as an active member of our Communications Working Group.
