Mindfully Navigating Social Media – Fostering Wellbeing Online for Mindfulness Practitioners

Would you like to be more mindful about how you use social media? Reduce the amount of time you spend the platforms? Or to find ways to use it with more intention and which feel more aligned to your needs and values?

About the event

In today’s world, using social media can feel challenging to both avoid, and to navigate. Learning about and keeping up with the different platforms, reducing time spent scrolling and understanding the rules of engagement can often make social media feel stressful and overwhelming.

And so, we’re delighted to offer you this 1.5-hour workshop, led by content creator, mindfulness leader and speaker, Ted Meissner, to support you with using social media more mindfully and to help foster your well-being as you engage online.

Over the course of this interactive session, you’ll discover how to connect on social media in ways that support your mental health.

You’ll be guided through some of the opportunities as well as some of the challenges of engaging with social media, choices about media platforms and be given best practice recommendations.

At the end of the workshop, you’ll come away with a greater sense of clarity, intention and ease.

Please note: This event is included as part of the new Oxford Mindfulness Members’ Programme. Non–members are welcome to join the event at the relevant fee band.

Mindfulness teachers may be interested to note there will be a separate workshop on the same topic by Ted, specifically for mindfulness teachers – view event details.
